After his departure from Coal Chamber vocalist Dez Fafara joined bassist Jon Miller, drummer John Boecklin and guitarists Jeff Kendrick & Evan Pitts to form what was then called Deathride. After they changed their name to DevilDriver, they released a self-titled debut under Roadrunner Records. Unfortunately the album wasn’t as successful as they hoped it would be and they returned to the studio for the follow-up album “The Fury of Our Maker’s Hand”. This one was an absolute hit, so the band toured extensively in support of the album.
Their next album, “The Last Kind Words”, was released in 2007. It was another success, bringing them to Download Festival and Ozzfest and getting them featured in the tv show Scrubs and the video game Rock Band. Since then they’ve released another three albums, Winter Kills being their latest installment. This one was released in August 2013, reason enough for the band to perform at Trix on April 18.
